Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar became the 1st batsman to make 17,000 runs in OID cricket but it was never sufficiency to give India win in a exciting 5^th ODI of the series opposite Australia on yesterday.

Sachin scored a terrific 175 off only 141 balls as Indian team fell just 3 runs short of the Australia score 350-4 from 50 over’s in 5^th ODI at Hyderabad giving tourists a 3-2 lead with 2 matches to play.

After match opening stand of 66 with Sehwag, who complete 38 off 30 deliveries, he dominated India’s run as captain MS Dhoni, Y. Singh & G. Gambhir, out for fast single figure runs.

Connected by Raina at 162/4, they joined 137 off 114 balls to leave team needing 52 runs just in 48 balls.

Master Blaster’s terrific knock came to a unsatisfactory finish from the 1^st ball of the 48 over as sachin dollied a catch to N. Hauritz off C. McKay, leaving Indian team needing 19 off 17 balls.

P. Kumar hit a 6 to reduce the target to 7 runs from the last 6 balls, but after 3 singles praveen was out by Nathan Hauritz to finish match.
