Delhi: The busy existence and hectic schedules give us small time to meet our family myself and wish them on
different occasions.Hence the new making has been seen adopting SMS largely to wish each other.The SMS fever
has not spared the elder generations as well. All of them are seen sending SMS on any occasion, be it birthdays,
or anniversaries or festive seasons. With Dussehra today, it is one of the apt times to send our needs through
SMS.A mass message student said, “I send hampers combining scrumptious Indian & Imported Chocolates, delicious
Cookies, dry Fruits and confectionaries with greeting cards to all those friends and relatives who are in close
proximity but those who are out of station I send them greetings through internet or mainly send a SMS to
celebrate the triumph of good over bad. On the same, a radio jockey says “I love Dussehra out of all the festivals.
It brings such positive vibes .I make a huge Ravana on my own and with my whole family and friends when I burn it,
I get overwhelmed. Since I don’t get much spare time to visit all my friends and families I send them a SMS or a
greeting through internet.” Not only is the festival celebrated by Hindus, even Muslim community enjoys the whole
experience by becoming a part of the celebrations. A Muslim candidate informs “I celebrate this festival with great
fervor. I enjoy Eid and soon after I get busy with the preparations
of Dussehra and Diwali. I enjoy both these festivals equally. I set the Ravana ablaze every
Dussehra. It gives me a proud feeling of being a true Indian before being a Muslim.’
So do send a SMS to the people who are close to your lives and wish them a Happy Dussehra!
